Paladin Power Launches Solid-State Whole-Home BESS Platform

Paladin Power has introduced a solid-state battery energy storage platform for residential and commercial applications. The ESS combines a high-capacity inverter with compatible solid-state batteries to power entire properties. The platform supports solar, off-grid operation, EV charging and Virtual Power Plants while offering a 20-year warranty and higher charge/discharge rates than conventional LiFePO₄ systems.

Paladin Power, a U.S.-based energy storage technology company, has announced a solid-state BESS platform for residential and business customers. The system is designed to serve as a complete grid replacement rather than only a temporary backup source.

The platform combines a high-capacity inverter with an integrated energy storage system architecture to support whole-property power. The system is intended to run major loads such as air conditioning, EV charging, refrigeration, lighting, appliances, security systems, communications equipment, servers and other critical systems.

Paladin Power said the platform supports solar integration, off-grid operation, peak demand management and long-duration energy resilience. The company has installed solid-state energy storage systems with homeowners and business customers, including large 4,000-plus-square-foot homes and a system used by a Fortune 500 client for more than six months.

Founder and CEO Ted Thomas said the platform was engineered to support entire properties through flexible system architecture. He said the inverter and ESS architecture can work with compatible solid-state battery technologies, including Paladin-labeled solid-state batteries, without limiting customers or partners to one battery source.

According to Paladin Power, the platform is designed to offer longer life cycles, improved fire safety and charge and discharge C-rates up to 6x higher than traditional LiFePO4 battery systems. C-rate refers to how quickly a battery can charge or discharge compared with its stored capacity.

The company said this performance characteristics allow the system to support high-demand applications through one integrated platform. Paladin Power also said the complete energy storage platform carries a 20-year warranty for residential and business customers.

The platform is designed for Virtual Power Plant, or VPP, participation. A VPP connects distributed storage systems so grouped assets can support a wider grid network. Paladin Power said California customers can use the ESS platform to store power and dispatch it during high-cost electricity periods or grid outages.

Paladin Power is also targeting distributed power applications including backyard AI data centers, edge computing systems, home-based AI infrastructure and other compute environments requiring high-capacity storage near the point of use.
