Under the collaboration, GES is designated as the primary partner overseeing commissioning, operation and maintenance for Envision’s wind and storage technology. The structure supports coordinated project execution across multiple regions, with technical training and digital tools enhancing GES’s engineering and operational capabilities.
The agreement includes focused training for GES teams on Envision’s BESS and wind turbine systems, supported by digital tools that simplify installation and commissioning. These additions give GES wider on-site capability and help the company expand its storage services across Europe. The partnership also builds on GES’s earlier work in energy storage, including its first large-scale battery project in Chile.
The National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan calls for 22.5 GW of storage by 2030. Spain currently reports over 4.2 GW of storage under development and about 423 MW approved for construction. These figures indicate increased demand for storage assets that support grid stability and renewable integration. The agreement enables GES and Envision to take part in this market activity by providing technology and services suited to developer and operator requirements.
