By launching its HoyUltra 2000M commercial and industrial (C&I) battery energy storage system (BESS) in Budapest, Hoymiles initiates as part of its European C&I Energy Storage Roadshow. The event brought together industry experts, developers, investors, and local partners to discuss Europe’s evolving storage market, project economics, safety, and business opportunities. With more than 2 GWh of C&I storage already in operation worldwide, Hoymiles is using the roadshow to showcase its broader storage portfolio and strengthen its engagement with European customers.

Hoymiles, a global provider of renewable energy and power electronics solutions, launched its HoyUltra 2000M battery energy storage system (BESS) and expanded its presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage market. The company unveiled the new solution in Budapest on September 24–25, 2026, during the first stop of its European C&I Energy Storage Roadshow. The launch highlights Hoymiles’ focus on providing flexible, scalable, and project-ready storage solutions for Europe’s growing C&I energy market.
Rather than presenting the 2000M as a standalone product, Hoymiles positioned it within a C&I offering designed to cover different project sizes. Its portfolio includes the HoyUltra 261A, a 125 kW/261 kWh liquid-cooled system for smaller commercial and industrial applications, alongside the MWh-scale HoyUltra 2000M. Hoymiles also integrates battery storage with its energy management platform, power electronics and broader solar ecosystem, allowing projects to address applications such as peak shaving, time-of-use optimisation, backup power and PV self-consumption. More than 2 GWh of its C&I storage systems are already operating worldwide.
At the Budapest event, the discussion also moved beyond hardware. GNX, the co-organiser, highlighted the importance of combining technology with local market experience. GNX CEO Daniel Racsek said the partnership is intended to help European customers identify practical C&I storage opportunities by bringing technical solutions together with regional requirements.
Market experts added another layer to the conversation. Susanne von Aichberger, Principal Analyst at S&P Global Commodity Insights, described C&I BESS as “a market coming of age,” reflecting its shift towards a more established role in the power system. Specialists from LCP Delta discussed market developments and business models, while TÜV SÜD contributed perspectives on European standards and safety requirements. Together, their views underlined why certification, project economics and safe operation are becoming increasingly important as storage moves from early adoption towards wider commercial deployment.
The second day gave those discussions a practical dimension, with participants visiting a Hungarian solar-plus-storage project using 16 HoyUltra 2000M systems. The site visit showed the technology in an operating C&I environment.
For Hoymiles, the roadshow serves a wider purpose than introducing a new BESS. It is a way to engage directly with European customers and partners, demonstrate a portfolio covering multiple applications, and connect market requirements with project experience. With further stops planned across Europe, the company is taking that approach beyond Budapest.
