ACME Solar Holdings, India’s renewable energy independent power producers, has commissioned Phase-I of the battery energy storage system (BESS) component of its FDRE project in Rajasthan, adding 53.63 MW/300 MWh of storage capacity. The development forms part of the company's larger 300 MW/1,581 MWh FDRE project located at Village Kelan in Bikaner district.
The commissioning was carried out by ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited, a subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings, on September 14, 2026. The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the commissioned BESS capacity has been set for September 16, 2026.
At this stage, only the BESS component covered under Phase-I has been commissioned. The corresponding renewable energy generation component of the project remains under development. The phased development allows part of the storage infrastructure to reach the commissioning stage while work continues on the renewable energy portion of the broader project.
Phase-I represents 53.63 MW of power capacity and 300 MWh of energy storage capacity. It sits within the total FDRE project, which has an overall capacity of 300 MW/1,581 MWh.
The commissioning marks progress in ACME Solar Holdings' development of battery storage alongside renewable energy infrastructure. Once the remaining components are developed, the broader project will combine renewable generation with energy storage under the FDRE configuration.
ACME Solar Holdings disclosed the commissioning under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The disclosure was submitted to both BSE and NSE.
The latest milestone therefore covers only the 53.63 MW/300 MWh Phase-I BESS capacity and does not represent commissioning of the entire 300 MW/1,581 MWh FDRE project. The remaining renewable energy generation component continues to be under development.
