An all-in-one BESS cabinet of 125 kW with up to 313 kWh has been presented by HIZENERGY at a C&I storage summit in Frankfurt, Germany. The ENERBOX series has been offered for factories, industrial parks and commercial premises in Europe, where solar penetration has been growing and the hours of negative day-ahead electricity prices have been rising.

HIZENERGY, a China-based supplier of commercial and industrial (C&I) BESS solutions, has shown its full range at the European C&I Energy Storage and Management Summit 2026, which was held in Frankfurt, Germany. Dr. Fei Wang, the Solution Manager of the company, gave the keynote presentation. The talk was concerned with the problem of grid flexibility in Europe, where solar penetration has been growing, duck curve effects are being felt and the hours of negative day-ahead electricity prices have been rising.
According to the company, falling system costs have strengthened the business case for behind-the-meter storage at factories, industrial parks and commercial premises. Its flagship for those customers is the ENERBOX series. Each all-in-one, AC-coupled cabinet has a power rating of 125 kW and an energy capacity of 261 kWh or 313 kWh, and more cabinets can be connected in parallel. A unit can run on the grid or off it, and it can switch seamlessly between the two. It has passed UL 9540A safety testing, and it can be fully commissioned on site within two hours, whether the facility is new or is being retrofitted.
A customer can use the cabinet to raise the self-consumption of PV power, to shave peak demand, to carry out energy arbitrage, to enter the ancillary services market and to back up critical loads.
C&I battery storage unlocks multiple value streams: improved business economics, reliable energy security and real decarbonisation progress for European enterprises.

HIZENERGY has reported live deployments across Europe. Its central hub is in the Netherlands, where the regional office, the warehouse and the largest after-sales service site are located, and it has a total of 12 after-sales service points on the continent. The company has been developing its own PCS for 16 years, and it holds a BloombergNEF Tier 1 ranking and a TÜV SÜD bankability certification. In June, at The smarter E Europe 2026, it signed with European system integrators, project developers and O&M service providers in order to accelerate its market penetration in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Austria.
Other suppliers have also been pursuing industrial sites in Europe. Schneider Electric launched its Boost Pro system across the continent in January with 200 kWh per unit, and the system can be scaled to 2 MWh. A 5 MW/10 MWh BESS has been deployed by BayWa r.e. and Rheinland Solar for Pfalzmarkt in Mutterstadt, Germany, where it is designed to capture surplus solar electricity. Turbo Energy and HiTHIUM unveiled 366 MWh of BESS capacity across 15 European industrial facilities in June, of which more than 130 MWh had by then been installed.
