At REI Expo 2026 in Greater Noida, India, Cosmic ESS, an India-based supplier of battery storage, has presented its HomeNova range of LFP batteries for homes and small businesses. The range has been led by the floor-standing HomeNova-16, which stores 16.08 kWh, and by the HomeNova-5, a 5.12 kWh unit of which up to 16 can be connected in parallel, so that a system can be enlarged as the demand of a household grows.

Cosmic ESS exhibited at REI Expo 2026 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The company has been supplying battery storage to homes, businesses and utilities, and at its stand it had given the main place to the HomeNova range, which has been built for residential and small commercial users in sizes from 5 kWh to 60 kWh. A tall PowerCore storage cabinet, which carried the company's name, stood at the edge of the stand.
According to the technical datasheet that was displayed at the stand, the HomeNova-5 has been built on LFP cells of 3.2 V and 100 Ah. It stores 5.12 kWh at a nominal 51.2 V, of which 4.6 kWh can be used, and it can be mounted on a rack or stacked. Up to 16 of these units can be connected in parallel.
The HomeNova-16 has been designed as a single, larger unit for the floor. It has been built on cells of 314 Ah and fitted with wheels, and it stores 16.08 kWh, of which 14.47 kWh can be used at a 90% depth of discharge.
Both of the models have been rated for at least 6,000 cycles before their capacity falls to 80%, and both have been certified to IEC 62619 and UN38.3, which are the standards for the safety of stationary lithium batteries and for their transport. They communicate with an inverter over CAN 2.0 and RS485, and they are covered by a warranty of five years.
The company's brochure has named storage for rooftop solar, backup power, small businesses and remote sites as the uses of the range. The company is also opening a new plant in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and a product launch has been planned there for the coming months.
