AlphaESS, an energy storage technology company, has launched AlphaQ, an AI-driven energy agent for home energy systems, in Europe for the first time. The European debut began with partner events in Belgium on September 16 and the Netherlands on September 22, 2026.
AlphaQ is designed to provide homeowners with a single point of interaction for their energy systems. The platform combines energy insights, tariff-aware energy management and service support, while specialist functions operate in the background.
Its Q Insight feature helps users understand current system activity and anticipated changes without requiring them to interpret energy charts independently. For households using dynamic electricity tariffs, AlphaQ's AI Mode forecasts electricity prices, solar generation and household demand. These forecasts are used to optimise battery charging and discharging, with the battery's energy plan updated every 15 minutes.
AlphaQ also uses fault logs and live system data to support system diagnosis. According to AlphaESS, this functionality can help installers identify problems and determine subsequent service actions more quickly.
Alongside AlphaQ, AlphaESS is expanding its residential energy storage offering in the Benelux with VitaPower 3600 AC. The all-in-one home battery provides 4–16 kWh of modular storage, 3.68 kW of bidirectional AC power and intelligent energy management. It is designed to allow homeowners to store and use more electricity generated by their solar systems.
VitaPower 3600 AC can start with an 800 W plug-and-play configuration and can be upgraded to its full 3.68 kW output through wiring and activation. Its AI Mode manages charging and discharging using energy prices alongside solar and weather forecasts. Pre-orders in the Netherlands opened on September 22. AlphaESS is also adding a new plug-in battery to its residential portfolio in the region.
The launch coincides with the first anniversary of AlphaESS Benelux BV. Citing Mordor Intelligence's Residential BESS Market Analysis 2026, AlphaESS said it held a 29.7% share of the Netherlands residential BESS market and 19.5% in Belgium during the first half of 2026.
