AlphaESS, a China-based energy storage system provider, presented products for utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and residential applications at Intersolar and ees Europe 2026 in Munich from June 23 to 25. Its exhibition portfolio covered containerised systems, outdoor cabinets, C&I equipment, household storage units and a digital energy management platform. The company also signed cooperation agreements for project deployment in several European markets.
For utility-scale applications, AlphaESS displayed the Aster 6260 liquid-cooled energy storage system for large storage power plants and independent storage projects. The integrated containerised system has a stated capacity of 6.26 MWh and is factory pre-assembled to reduce on-site construction and deployment work. It incorporates an active-balancing battery management system, thermal management, an explosion-relief structure compliant with NFPA 69 and an independent cluster-level cut-off mechanism for fault isolation.
The STORION-LC 836 liquid-cooled outdoor cabinet was presented for grid-side and C&I applications. It supports up to eight parallel units, allowing capacity to reach 6.7 MWh. The cabinet includes C5 anti-corrosion protection and dual active-balancing technology, while its configuration is intended to simplify transportation and installation.
AlphaESS also displayed the STORION-LC-TB150 for factories, industrial parks, commercial buildings and other high-load sites. Each cabinet is rated at 150 kW / 313 kWh, while as many as 25 units can be connected in parallel for a total capacity of 7.8 MWh. The system operates below 60 dB and has passed UL 9540A fire safety testing. Combustible-gas detection, explosion-proof ventilation, cell-level active balancing and liquid-cooling temperature control are included in the cabinet. The wider C&I lineup comprised the StaX-M50, STORION-H30/H50-G3 and STORION-TB125.
For residential applications, the company presented the SMILE-G3 and SMILE-M series. The three-phase SMILE-G3 supports 200% PV oversizing, three MPPT inputs with shadow scanning, 20 ms switching between on-grid and off-grid operation, and 200% peak overload capability. Its listed configurations include solar-storage charging, solar-storage heating and dual power supply involving diesel generators. The SMILE-M series covers the 5 kW to 10 kW range and combines a modular format with 200% PV oversizing, multiple MPPT shadow scanning and an integrated aerosol fire-suppression barrier.
Alpha Connect extends the portfolio into digital energy management. The platform operates across 12 European countries, connects more than 100,000 energy storage systems and works with over 100 energy partners. Its open APIs support connections with virtual power plant platforms, aggregators and third-party systems. In the UK, integration with Octopus Energy enables charging and discharging control, data visualisation and remote operation.
During the exhibition, AlphaESS signed cooperation agreements with UB Solar, Sunly, Ecker and LSG. The agreements are intended to support projects in Germany, Lithuania, Estonia, Austria and other European markets, covering C&I and utility-scale storage. EUPD Research also presented AlphaESS with TOP Brand Awards for Germany and Benelux.
