JSW Energy’s step-down subsidiary, JSW Energy PSP Eleven, won supply orders of INR 443.74 crore from Bondada Renewable Energy. The orders relate to a 200 MW/400 MWh BESS and the associated power conversion system equipment. Bondada Renewable Energy functions as a wholly owned unit of Bondada Engineering.
In Pune, JEPEL operates a battery assembly plant with capacity to manufacture 5 GWh each year. The article includes the unit within JEPEL’s manufacturing portfolio but does not say whether production for the awarded contract will take place there. At present, the order is limited to the supply-award phase, with both its delivery date and project location undisclosed.
The company’s locked-in power generation capacity stands at 32.1 GW. JSW Energy is a JSW Group enterprise engaged in generating and transmitting electricity. Within the present deal, JEPEL is the vendor, Bondada Renewable Energy is the client, and Bondada Engineering is the client’s parent organisation. The announced scope is confined to BESS and PCS equipment, without details regarding cell chemistry, project function, installation site, or delivery programme.
