Executive summary
Australian infrastructure investor Palisade Investment Partners has acquired full ownership of two development-stage renewable energy projects through Intera Renewables. The Monogorilby Renewable Energy Park in Queensland combines up to 600 MW of wind generation with a 1,600 MWh battery, while Victoria’s Winton project includes a 1,600 MWh battery, bringing their combined storage capacity to 3.2 GWh.

Palisade Investment Partners is an Australian infrastructure investment company that manages and operates renewable energy assets across Australia and the United States. An early investor in the clean energy sector, the firm has built a portfolio spanning operating and development-stage energy infrastructure.
Through its Intera Renewables platform, Palisade has acquired 100% interests in two development-stage projects: the Monogorilby Renewable Energy Park (MREP) in Queensland from LP Renewable Projects (LPRP), and the Winton Renewable Energy Storage and Stability Terminal (WRESST) in Victoria from Celero Infrastructure.
MREP is being developed as an integrated renewable energy facility combining up to 600 MW of wind generation with a co-located battery energy storage system rated at 400 MWac / 1,600 MWh. Located approximately 250 km northwest of Brisbane, the project was originated by LPRP, which began initial feasibility assessments in late 2022.
WRESST is a standalone battery storage development with a capacity of 400 MWac / 1,600 MWh. Located approximately 10 km northeast of Benalla in Victoria, the project sits adjacent to the Glenrowan Terminal Station. Celero Infrastructure originated the project and lodged its development application in June 2026.
Damien Sanford, Co-Founder and Partner at Celero Infrastructure, described Winton as a grid-forming battery designed to strengthen the stability and reliability of a central part of the Victorian power system. He said the site is within existing infrastructure, bordered by the Hume Highway, solar farms and an electricity substation. The project is expected to connect without requiring new transmission lines.
Simon Parbery, Partner at Palisade, said the acquisitions represent the first large-scale wind and storage development assets secured by Intera’s recently established Growth and Development team. Edward Mounsey, Intera’s Head of Growth and Development, said Palisade’s sector experience, combined with Intera’s scale, management platform, investor base and development expertise, provides a strong proposition for development partners.
The acquisitions were completed partway through the projects’ development phases. They follow the recruitment of Intera’s Growth and Development team from Squadron Energy, where the team established a 10 GW project pipeline and progressed more than 1.2 GW of renewable energy projects from development into delivery.
LPRP and Celero will continue providing development services for their respective projects through to financial close. After financial close, Palisade Integrated Management Services (PIMS), Palisade’s construction and operational management services arm, will undertake asset management activities.
The two projects add to Palisade’s existing portfolio of 2.5 GW of operating and in-construction assets on a 100% ownership basis, including 2.2 GW in Australia.
Intera is the principal investment of Palisade’s Renewable Energy Fund, which holds a 50% interest in the platform alongside Palisade’s Diversified Infrastructure Fund, Aware Super and HESTA. Intera is pursuing a multi-gigawatt investment strategy spanning development, construction and operational-stage renewable energy assets.
