LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a China-based solar technology manufacturer, recently launched its integrated solar and energy storage platform, LONGi ONE, in Egypt. The platform combines PV generation, BESS, digital intelligence and lifecycle services within one system. Madiha Mohamed, head of Egypt Public Affairs Sector, also attended the launch event and discussed developments in Egypt's renewable energy market.
LONGi has presented LONGi ONE for utility-scale solar-plus-storage projects, C&I applications and energy use in challenging grid environments. The platform includes modular battery storage, intelligent energy management, battery management, safety protection and AI-supported energy optimization. LONGi said the integrated approach is intended to improve system coordination and optimize energy utilization across the project lifecycle.
Egypt is targeting 42% renewable energy penetration by 2030, while its next phase of renewable energy development is expected to require additional generation, storage, grid flexibility and intelligent energy management.
The launch event also included two strategic agreements involving Reestech Group and Egypta Group, covering integrated PV and energy storage activities across Egypt, the Middle East and Africa.
