AmpereHour Energy partnered with Organo Eco Habitats to deploy India’s first centralized residential BESS at the Organo Antharam community in Hyderabad. The 500 kVA/608 kWh system integrates solar, grid power and battery storage to deliver uninterrupted clean energy, reduce diesel generator dependence, and support the project’s net-zero, sustainable “Rurban” living model.

PROJECT SNAPSHOT

Companies: AmpereHour Energy, Organo Eco Habitats

Project: Organo Antharam Residential BESS

Location: Chevella, India

Capacity: 500 kVA / 608 kWh

Type: Centralised residential BESS

Energy Sources: Solar PV, grid, battery storage

Key Goal: Energy resilience and sustainability

Organo Antharam, located in Chevella near Hyderabad, has launched India's first centralized residential BESS. This system, developed by AmpereHour Energy, serves as a community-scale "energy brain" that replaces traditional individual backups like diesel generators or separate home UPS units. In a landmark move for sustainable living, AmpereHour Energy has teamed up with Organo Eco Habitats to launch India’s first centralized residential BESS. Located at the Organo Antharam community. This project creates a foundation for green infrastructure and proves AmpereHour Energy is a top provider of creative energy solutions for sustainable communities.

The Organo Antharam project in Hyderabad reached a historic milestone on March 18, 2026, with successful commissioning of India's first centralized residential BESS. Partnering with AmpereHour Energy, Organo now uses a sophisticated 500 kVA / 608 kWh lithium-ion BESS. The system was officially launched and publicly announced in late April 2026 as a national benchmark for sustainable residential infrastructure.

Inspired by the Indian villages, Organo Antharam in Chevella is designed for the core principle of sustainability. It achieves a unique "Rurban" balance—pairing with a convenience of modern life with the rustic appeal of the countryside. The primary objective of Organo’s was to create a community that moves decisively towards net-zero energy, minimizing its reliance on traditional power grids that conflict with eco-friendly values. To turn this high-level vision into daily reality, which is functional, AmpereHour Energy provided the critical technological foundation, integrating advanced infrastructure that makes sustainable living effortless for every resident.

This strategy moves the community away from fossil fuel reliance and removes the need for diesel generators. This provides a significantly greener energy alternative. Consequently, homeowners enjoy steady and non-stop electricity which ensures a seamless and dependable lifestyle. By this approach, a cleaner power solution is provided to the community by avoiding carbon-intensive diesel backups. This approach considerably reduces dependence on fossil fuels and excludes the need for diesel generators and making it a much cleaner energy solution. This results constant energy supply for residents and benefit from consistent, uninterrupted power, enabling more stable and high-quality living environment for everyone in the community.

Ayush Misra of AmpereHour Energy noted that this initiative serves as a national benchmark. He described it as a complete energy strategy that redefines how residential communities can achieve clean and reliable power.

Rakesh Koti, Organo’s Head of Sustainability, views sustainability is approached as a systems decision, from land and water to energy and built form. He points out that energy was one of the most critical levers in making the communities truly sustainable and that AmpereHour Energy has helped them build the infrastructure to support that transition with greater reliability and long-term efficiency.

AmpereHour Energy serves as a technology partner, designing and deploying the BESS hardware and software. Organo Eco Habitats provides the residential community platform named as Organo Antharam, designed around their "Rurban" living philosophy. Together, they aimed to move beyond basic backup power to create a comprehensive energy strategy that enables the community to achieve net-zero energy goals.
