Canadian Solar, headquartered in Guelph, is engaged through its e-STORAGE business under CSI Solar to deliver a fully integrated BESS for the 411 MW/1,858 MWh Skyview 2 Energy Storage Project in Edwardsburgh Cardinal, Ontario.

The project was developed by Potentia Renewables in partnership with the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation. It was awarded under Ontario’s Long-Term Reliability (LT1) procurement. Under the EPC scope, e-STORAGE will supply about 390 SolBank 3.0 lithium iron phosphate units and oversee system integration, substation works, and balance-of-plant tasks, excluding the high-voltage transformer and HV switchgear.

The companies said the project includes a 21-year long-term service agreement. Project delivery is scheduled to begin in February 2026, with commercial operation expected in the second quarter of 2027.

e-STORAGE has deployed 8 GWh of energy storage projects across North America. This experience supports its role in delivering the Skyview 2 project. The project adds to the company’s full-stack delivery capability across the storage project lifecycle.
