

Zeo Energy Corp. signed a non-binding MOU with Creekstone Energy to develop 280 MW of firm, behind-the-meter baseload power for an AI-focused data center campus in Millard County, Utah. The collaboration combines solar generation with long-duration energy storage, following Zeo’s Heliogen acquisition, and supports Creekstone’s multi-gigawatt Gigasite expansion planned from 2027 onward.

U.S.-based residential solar and long-duration energy storage solutions provider, Zeo Energy, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Creekstone Energy LLC to develop approximately 280 MW of base-load power generation for a data center campus in Millard County, Utah. The proposed project is designed to support Creekstone’s Gigasite, a large-scale digital infrastructure site designed to meet continuous power demand from artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing operations.
Under the non-binding MOU, Zeo has begun a pre-feasibility study to determine the technical and economic configuration of a solar generation system integrated with long-duration energy storage. The objective is to produce firm, dispatchable electricity suitable for data center loads by combining solar output with extended-duration storage. Zeo’s engineering team is assessing thermal and chemical storage technologies to support multi-hour energy delivery and grid-independent base-load capability.
The study includes evaluation of storage duration, system sizing, efficiency parameters, and cost structures. In addition to technical analysis, the framework outlines the potential for Zeo to arrange project financing for the solar and storage components. The company may also provide engineering and development services, including Front-End Loading (FEL), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and project management support, subject to definitive agreements.
Creekstone Energy began construction of the Gigasite in December 2025 and plans to supply more than 300 MW of gas-powered base-load capacity in Phase 1, targeted for the first half of 2027. The site has announced an agreement to provide up to 50 MW of power to Blue Sky AI Inc., an AI infrastructure provider. Creekstone has stated its intention to expand total site capacity to multiple GW over time, incorporating diversified generation sources, including solar firmed with long-duration storage.
The proposed 280 MW solar-plus-storage configuration is intended to operate as a behind-the-meter energy solution, supporting continuous operations required by hyperscale and AI-focused data center clients. The MOU establishes a framework for collaboration and further development but does not obligate either party to proceed until a binding agreement is executed.
If advanced, the project would represent Zeo’s expansion into utility-scale and commercial energy storage applications beyond its residential and distributed energy portfolio. The initiative reflects growing demand for integrated solar and long-duration storage systems designed to provide stable power supply for high-density computing infrastructure.
