DoGo Power presented its views on grid-forming energy storage during a roundtable session at Intersolar South America 2026, held in São Paulo from 25 to 27 August. EUPD Research and Intersolar jointly hosted the session. DoGo Power joined other industry participants to discuss how energy storage technology is evolving alongside next-generation power systems.
According to DoGo Power, storage assets are moving beyond a role limited to charging and discharging. The company said storage is increasingly expected to function as power infrastructure that supports grid operation directly, including through voltage and frequency regulation, as more renewable generation connects to national grids.
DoGo Power describes itself as a company focused on grid-scale, grid-forming energy storage. The company said its approach combines artificial intelligence with grid-forming controls, aiming to turn storage systems from single-function assets into infrastructure that can actively support grid operation.
The company's technology centers on four systems working together. These are the Energy Management System, the Power Management System, the Power Conversion System, and the Battery Management System. DoGo Power said the integration of these four systems forms the basis of its Software-Defined Energy architecture, which it describes as a key approach to grid-forming storage design.
DoGo Power said the architecture is intended to improve stability, efficiency and cost performance for power systems that rely heavily on renewable generation. The company also said it is developing combined solar and storage products aimed at long-term reliability for customers. However, it did not disclose specific project details, capacities or deployment timelines tied to these products.
The roundtable presentation followed a separate announcement earlier in August, when DoGo Power received the Top Innovation Award from EUPD Research, a European research and certification organization active across several regions including Latin America. The award recognized the same 4S grid-forming technology underpinning the SDE architecture.
DoGo Power said it remains focused on what it describes as its mission to support the buildout of coordinated power systems, linking generation, grid, load and storage through software-based intelligence. The company did not announce a specific new storage project, capacity figure, battery chemistry or construction timeline in connection with the Sao Paulo event.
