Mobile Power Solutions, a provider of engineered lithium-ion battery solutions, battery testing, and regulatory compliance services headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, has launched the MPS Series, a new range of off-the-shelf lithium-ion batteries designed to provide OEM customers with quicker, more affordable access to ready-to-use battery solutions.

The new MPS Series adds a standard product range to the company’s existing portfolio of custom-engineered batteries, aiming at customers looking for dependable lithium-ion batteries without the longer development timelines often associated with customized battery designs. The batteries manufactured domestically in the United States prioritize quality, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The initial MPS Series models will be offered in 21.6 V and 43.2 V configurations. The batteries use premium cylindrical Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) cells and include battery management electronics designed to protect the cells from abuse conditions and help extend cycle life. They also feature a cell-balancing connection and meet UN 38.3 transportation requirements, supporting the safer transport of lithium-ion batteries.

Mobile Power Solutions is also offering several optional features for customers with more demanding applications. These include enhanced battery management protection, fuel gauging with communications capability, and active cell balancing. This flexibility allows OEM customers to select additional functions based on their specific equipment and operating requirements.

The MPS Series is manufactured at the company’s facility in Beaverton, Oregon. The production site operates under ISO 17025, ISO 9001:2015, and AS 9100D standards, reflecting the company’s focus on manufacturing quality and process control.

The facility is also registered under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), allowing the batteries to support U.S. defense and military applications. The products are designed to help customers meet applicable National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) requirements.

Mobile Power Solutions has made the MPS Series available through its new e-commerce portal, giving customers direct access to the standard battery range. The launch reflects the company’s effort to combine its long-standing battery engineering and manufacturing experience with a more accessible, ready-to-purchase product offering for OEM applications.

Mobile Power Solutions has diversified into this new product category to better serve our OEM customers who seek a premium-quality off-the-shelf Lithium-ion battery that meets all applicable transportation regulations, said Chuck Weitzel, CEO of Mobile Power Solutions.
