A new 24V 100Ah Group 31 Bluetooth LiFePO₄ battery for 70–100 lb thrust trolling motors was launched by Redodo. The battery stores 2,560 Wh in a compact design that is about 40.8% smaller than conventional 24V 100Ah lithium batteries. Also, it weighs 44.09 lbs and it replace two 12V lead-acid batteries, reducing weight, wiring, and installation complexities. The battery offers 6,000+ cycles, Bluetooth 5.0 monitoring, a 100A smart BMS, low-temperature protection, and IP65 protection. Redodo says it can also be used in 24V off-grid solar, agricultural equipment, RV and backup-power applications.

Redodo has launched a 24V 100Ah Group 31 Bluetooth LiFePO4 battery designed especially for trolling motors rated 70-100 lbs of thrust. The battery pack delivers 25.6 V, 100 Ah, and 2560 Wh of energy in a compact Group 31-size design. A lightweight and long-lasting 24-volt battery option for trolling motors for boaters, as per the Redodo, with more than 6000 charge cycles is a good choice.​ 

Traditional 24V trolling motor systems often use two 12V lead-acid batteries, taking up more time for installation and wiring in series and adding more weight. Additionally, the traditional battery lacks real-time monitoring, which is essential to know the actual runtime that remains.​ 

This new design according to Redodo is approximately 40.8% smaller than the conventional 24V 100Ah lithium battery form factor. By which a single 24V Group 31 Lithium battery replaces two 12V lead-acid batteries. The new design is 24V Group 31 footprint. One Battery. The latest version battery reduces weight and space requirements and overall setup. Most 24V trolling motors use two 12V lead-acid batteries connected in series. Redodo combines the same 24V 100Ah setup into one LiFePo4 battery.

The battery weighs about 44.09 lbs. Compared with two 12V 100Ah AGM batteries, Redodo says the single-battery setup reduces battery weight by approximately 82 lbs while providing about twice the usable energy. 

The Redodo 24V 100Ah Group 31 Bluetooth battery measures 13.11 × 6.93 × 9.45 in (L × W × H) and stores 2,560 Wh of energy. Redodo says its volume is approximately 40.8% smaller than that of a conventional 24V 100Ah lithium battery, while its energy density increases from 107.6 Wh/L to 187.9 Wh/L. 

Its compact Group 31 design allows a single 24V battery to replace two 12V lead-acid batteries, reducing battery weight, space requirements, and connection complexity while simplifying upgrades to a 24V lithium system. 

The battery uses LiFePO₄ cells and is rated for more than 6,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge (DOD). Redodo says the longer cycle life can reduce replacement frequency compared with conventional lead-acid batteries. 

Bluetooth 5.0 and the Redodo app provide real-time monitoring of state of charge, voltage, current, charging and discharging status, battery health, and other operating data. 

Separately, the battery features a 100A smart BMS with more than 20 protection mechanisms, including overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short-circuit, and high- and low-temperature protection. Its low-temperature protection stops charging when temperatures are too low and resumes once conditions recover. 

The battery also carries an IP65 rating, which is intended to help protect it against rain, splashes, and humid conditions. 

Beyond trolling motors, the 24V 100Ah Group 31 Bluetooth Battery can be used for off-grid solar, agricultural equipment, RVs, and backup power applications.
