At Middle East Energy 2026, held from 1 to 3 September at Dubai World Trade Centre, the company showcased its Elementa + Electra system in the Middle East for the first time. The solution was presented at the Storage Pavilion, Booth Z3.F51.

Elementa + Electra is an integrated, utility-scale DC and AC storage solution. It pairs the company's Elementa 3 battery system, which has a capacity of 6.25 MWh, with its 13.8 MVA Electra AC platform. Combining the two components is designed to simplify system integration and streamline deployment for large-scale storage projects. System configurations can range from 2 to 8 hours, depending on project needs.

Jack Chen, Head of Energy Storage for the MEA region at Trinasolar, said the next phase of energy storage development in the Middle East and Africa will depend on the ability to deploy systems at scale while meeting increasingly demanding technical and operational requirements. He said the company's focus is on providing utilities and developers with integrated solutions that combine performance, reliability and flexibility for long-term storage development in the region.

The full system delivers up to 50 MWh of storage capacity and 13.8 MVA of AC output. It uses 587Ah high-energy-density battery cells and achieves up to 96% full-chain system efficiency. Power conversion includes a 10-millisecond full-power response, along with grid-forming and black-start functionality intended to support evolving grid requirements.

Safety features include advanced thermal protection, a 120-minute fire resistance rating and six-fold electrical protection. Containerised transportation across the DC and AC sides, combined with factory-level testing, can reduce on-site commissioning time by up to 50%, according to the company.

The Middle East and Africa region continues to add renewable energy capacity as countries pursue net-zero targets. Battery storage is increasingly used to balance renewable generation, support grid stability, and provide flexibility as more solar and other renewable energy resources are connected to the grid.
