The company has announced its involvement in the Braston/Wallace battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Scotland, where it is providing engineering and technical consultancy services for a 500 MW / 2 GWh development being advanced by New Energy Partnership (NEP) and ContourGlobal.
The Braston/Wallace project is among the largest battery energy storage developments currently under development in Scotland. It is intended to strengthen grid flexibility and support the integration of renewable electricity into the UK's power system as battery storage capacity continues to expand across the country.
As part of its scope, Enertis Applus+ is delivering engineering design services to support the discharge of planning conditions required for project development. The company is also preparing site design documentation, reviewing drainage strategies and designing access infrastructure to facilitate project implementation.
In addition to engineering support, Enertis Applus+ is responsible for basic engineering activities, preparing tender documentation, conducting technical bid evaluations and developing capital expenditure (CAPEX) models.
