Strategic Partnership
China-based battery manufacturer, EVE Energy has entered a long-term strategic agreement with Australia-based energy developer, EVO Power during the All-Energy Australia 2025 exhibition in Melbourne. The partnership covers the supply of 2.2 GWh of large-scale energy storage systems over five years. The cooperation centers on EVE Energy’s Mr. Big batteries and the Mr. Giant 5 MWh DC container solution, both designed for utility-scale front-of-meter projects across Australia.
Technology Overview
EVE Energy introduced the 628 Ah Mr. Big cell for large-scale storage and began mass production. The 5 MWh Mr. Giant container was built on the same platform. EVE Energy stated that the system had already been deployed in a 400 MWh independent storage project in September, followed by shipments to Australia and Europe. EVO Power confirmed that it has received the first delivery under the new agreement. The step has established the starting point for the planned 2.2 GWh rollout.
For regulatory access, the Mr. Giant system has obtained Australian and New Zealand certifications, including AS 3000, AS 3008, and AS 5139. These approvals confirm alignment with regional electrical and safety standards, enabling integration into multiple project types.
Regional Expansion
EVE Energy is expanding its regional presence by establishing an Australian subsidiary that will manage sales coordination, pre-sales engineering and local after-sales support. The company also stated that its Malaysia production base is expected to be fully operational by Q1 2026, increasing export capacity for the Australian market.
EVO Power, focused on large-scale storage, plans to utilize the supply agreement for upcoming front-of-meter installations. Both companies said that their continued cooperation corresponds with the growing need for storage within the national energy system.
