Energy storage solutions provider Jinko ESS showcased its battery energy storage portfolio at Renewable Energy India Expo (REI) 2026. The exhibition featured the company's SunTera G3 6.25 MWh energy storage system and SunGiga G2 and G2+ solutions. The displays highlighted battery technology, thermal management, system safety and applications for renewable energy integration.

The SunTera G3 is a 6.25 MWh energy storage system incorporating high-capacity 587/588 Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells. The system uses liquid-cooled technology and is designed for large-scale energy storage applications. According to the product brochure, the system has a standardized 20-foot container layout and supports flexible installation configurations.

Its intelligent liquid cooling system uses a serpentine multi-parallel flow channel design to maintain cell temperature differences below 2.5°C. Multiple cooling control modes support thermal management while reducing auxiliary power consumption. The system also incorporates rack-level energy management, which the company states increases round-trip efficiency by more than 1%. Integrated active balancing technology is designed to increase available charge and discharge capacity by 5%.

The SunTera G3 incorporates a five-tier safety architecture extending from individual cells to the complete system. Its safety provisions include gas detection and water-based fire suppression within a hybrid explosion-proof design. The technical specifications also identify temperature sensors, smoke detectors, combustible gas detectors and deflagration venting provisions.

The system has a rated voltage of 1,331.2 V and uses liquid cooling. Its dimensions are 6,058 × 2,438 × 2,396 mm, with a stated weight of 48,000 kg. The enclosure has an IP55 protection rating and supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to 55°C. Ethernet and CAN communication interfaces are specified.

The product documentation identifies solar-storage integration, grid support services and energy market participation as application areas. These include frequency regulation, voltage support, peak shaving, energy arbitrage, capacity markets and ancillary services. The system is also designed to support back-to-back or side-by-side placement.

Alongside SunTera G3, Jinko ESS displayed its SunGiga G2 and G2+ all-in-one energy storage solutions, with capacities ranging from 261 kWh to 522 kWh. The exhibition materials highlighted liquid cooling, AI-powered BMS, outdoor installation and parallel system configurations.

Jinko ESS also exhibited battery rack assemblies and integrated storage equipment, presenting its portfolio of energy storage technologies at REI 2026.
