Executive summary

At REI Expo 2026 in Greater Noida, India, ATC Energies System, an India-based maker of lithium battery packs, presented a 24 kWh LFP rack from ATC GridWorks, its storage business for commercial and industrial users. Rated at 240 V DC and 100 Ah, the rack uses the same cells as GridWorks systems of up to 5 MWh.

  • Rack energy: 24 kWh

  • Usable energy: 21.6 kWh

  • Cell chemistry: LFP

  • Nominal voltage: 240 V DC

  • Rated capacity: 100 Ah

  • Largest system: 5 MWh

  • Warranty: 10 years

Among the battery makers at REI Expo 2026 was ATC Energies System, an India-based manufacturer of lithium battery packs, which exhibited in Hall 3, at Booth 3.07, at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The company has its head office in Mumbai and two factories, one in Noida and the other in Vasai, near Mumbai, and it has been listed on the SME platform of the National Stock Exchange since April 2025. For years, it had made battery packs for banking, mobility and backup power, and at the show it presented ATC GridWorks, the business through which it now supplies BESS to commercial and industrial users.

GridWorks was represented on the stand by a 24 kWh battery rack, which had been mounted in an open cabinet with its specification label in view. According to that label, the rack holds LFP cells with a rated capacity of 100 Ah at a nominal 240 V DC, and 21.6 kWh of its energy can be drawn at a 90% depth of discharge. Its charge current has been limited to 50 A, while it can deliver up to 100 A on discharge.

The rack is managed by the ATC Smart BMS, a battery management system of the company's own design, and it carries an IP20 rating, which suits it to indoor rooms only. Its label sets an operating range of 0°C to 45°C, and the cabinet, which weighs about 238 kg, has been fitted with a main DC isolator and a breaker inside the rack, so that the battery can be cut off for service. The unit on display had been made in India in June 2026.

The same LFP cells, BMS and software are used across the wider GridWorks range, according to the company's show brochure. The range begins with the ATC Smart cabinets, which hold 51 kWh to 102 kWh, deliver 25 kW to 50 kW and are cooled by forced air, and it continues with the liquid-cooled ATC Flex units of 129 kWh to 261 kWh and 63 kW to 125 kW. For larger sites, the company offers the ATC Industrial systems of 500 kWh to 2 MWh at 1,500 V and the ATC Grid containers of 3 MWh to 5 MWh, which have been rated for two to four hours and are capable of grid-forming operation.

Each of these systems is supplied with the EMS and DERMS software of the company, which runs on open protocols such as Modbus, IEC 61850 and OPC-UA, and each carries a 10-year warranty that can be extended to 15 years. The battery packs on which the company had built its business were also on view, together with a hybrid inverter.
