SVOLT Energy, a battery cell and energy storage system manufacturer, showed its "Desert Special Forces" storage range at Middle East Energy 2026 in Dubai on 1 September. The products are rated for temperatures up to 50°C, for sand and dust, and for wide daily temperature swings. Three product lines cover the range: a 122 Ah residential cell, a 6.29 MWh utility-scale BESS and a 285 kWh commercial and industrial all-in-one system.
The 122 Ah stacked cell is SVOLT's residential flagship. It has entered the supply chains of five leading global residential storage customers, and monthly shipments now exceed one million units. The cell is built on automotive-grade short-blade stacking technology. It charges at -20°C, discharges at -30°C and operates steadily up to 60°C. A low-resistance stacked design and no fans keep operating noise below 30dB.
The 6.29 MWh utility system uses what SVOLT calls an industry-first short-blade CTR stacking technology. The company says it raises volumetric utilisation by 20% and cuts footprint by 36%. With an AB mirrored configuration the units can be deployed back to back, which SVOLT says reduces land requirements by a further 30%.
A three-compartment design separates the battery, electrical and cooling systems physically. SVOLT says that helps prevent thermal runaway from propagating at the structural level. Dual-sided liquid cooling narrows the temperature difference between individual cells from about 15°C to 7°C, a 50% reduction, which the company ties to a system cycle life above 10,000 cycles.
The 285 kWh C&I system uses a short-blade CTR module-free design. SVOLT says that cuts component count by 36% and direct material costs by 10%. Dual-sided liquid cooling again halves the cell temperature spread and adds 10% to cycle life. An integrated AI-BMS adjusts charging and discharging strategies, which the company says improves operation and maintenance efficiency by 60%.
SVOLT positions the range from residential use through desert power stations to large-scale renewable energy bases, across the Middle East Africa market.
