SHENZHEN GSL ENERGY TECH Co., Ltd., headquartered in China, introduced two new C&I energy storage systems at Intersolar Europe 2026. The BESS-261K and BESS-125K418 are DC-coupled, liquid-cooled BESS, both rated at 125 kVA of full-load power. GSL Energy said the systems are designed to lower electricity costs, provide backup power during outages, and generate passive revenue for C&I consumers.
The BESS-261K stores up to 261 kWh using five 52.25 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery modules inside a 1,300 x 1,320 x 2,380 mm cabinet. The BESS-125K418 stores up to 418 kWh across eight of the same modules in a slightly smaller enclosure. Both systems share the same 125 kVA output rating and integrate Deye's three-phase hybrid inverter within the same cabinet as the battery.
Each system uses a high-voltage 314 Ah LFP battery platform with a rated voltage of 832 V and an operating range of 650-949 V, according to GSL Energy. The DC-coupled design connects the on-site PV array and battery directly to the inverter's common DC busbar, which GSL Energy said increases PV harvesting and cuts storage power loss compared with AC-coupled systems. In a grid outage, the inverter switches to off-grid mode within milliseconds; the BESS-125K418's inverter can deliver up to 160% overload capacity for 200 ms in that mode.
GSL Energy said the integrated energy management system (EMS) commands the battery to discharge during periods of peak demand and recharge when tariffs are lower, a combination the company describes as peak shaving and valley filling. The systems can also perform grid-side energy arbitrage and take part in Virtual Power Plant (VPP) aggregation programs at pre-fixed power purchase rates, functions GSL Energy said generate passive revenue for C&I consumers.
The BESS-261K supports a parallel expansion of up to 32 cabinets for a combined 4 MW/8.35 MWh, while the BESS-125K418 scales to 1.25 MW/4.18 MWh across 10 units, GSL Energy said. According to the company's product listing, the battery platform is rated for more than 8,000 charge-discharge cycles at 90% depth of discharge and carries a 10-year warranty, with an IP55-rated outdoor enclosure and an aerosol fire suppression system built into the cabinet.
GSL Energy said the EMS also supports CAN communication, remote diagnostics and cloud-based monitoring across single or multiple sites, allowing integration with third-party monitoring platforms. The company positions both systems for factories, commercial buildings, industrial parks, hotels, shopping malls, EV charging stations, and microgrid projects.
