Hoymiles, a China-based solar inverter and energy storage system provider, has received Clean Energy Council approval for its HiOne All-in-One residential BESS in Australia. The approval makes HiOne ready for installations across the country. The system combines a hybrid inverter, battery system and intelligent energy management system within one residential storage configuration.

HiOne can be installed in as short as 15 minutes, while its integrated configuration requires 20% less site room and 50% less wall space than conventional setups. Each battery module provides 8 kWh and uses a stackable design that allows the storage configuration to be expanded.

These specifications place the installation time, physical footprint and battery configuration within the same integrated residential system. The storage system also provides 0ms backup switching through the HiBox gateway. Its battery configuration uses 314Ah cells with cell-level monitoring and more than 8,000 life cycles.

The CEC-approved system is intended for residential installations in Australia, where Hoymiles is offering the integrated inverter, battery and energy management configuration as one product. The approved BESS allows households to retain excess solar electricity generated during the day for later usage when electricity prices are higher. Hoymiles said this can reduce household reliance on the grid and lower electricity bills.

Guy Rong, Vice President of Hoymiles, said the HiOne system is designed to simplify home storage installation and operation while allowing households to obtain more value from their solar systems.
