Pace Digitek, a Bengaluru-based energy and telecom infrastructure company, has received a Letter of Intent from BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) for a 57.5 MW/115 MWh standalone BESS in Delhi. The company disclosed the award to the stock exchanges on 8 October 2026. Under its terms, the capacity is to be spread across four of BRPL's grid stations, where the system will be operated on an on-demand basis.
Pace Digitek will, in turn, be responsible for the design, supply, testing, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the system. The project is to be developed under a 12-year Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model, and its capital outlay has been put at around INR 179.4 crore (~ $18.9 million). Execution has been scheduled within seven months, while the order intimation has set the commissioning date at 28 weeks from the effective date of the Battery Energy Storage Service Agreement (BESSA).
It is that agreement which will provide the project's income. Under the BESSA, Pace Digitek is to receive a fixed capacity tariff of INR 47.05 lakh per MW per year, and that tariff translates into contracted capacity revenue of INR 27.1 crore (~ $2.9 million) a year. The award is also the company's fifth major utility-scale BOO/BOOT storage project. With its addition, that portfolio has grown to 3.32 GWh, and the company's total executable order book now exceeds INR 11,500 crore.
The Delhi project, however, is not the group's only recent storage win. In September 2026, the group secured an INR 488.6 crore order from NTPC GE Power Services for the supply of standalone BESS, together with AMC and warranty services. Since the end of Q1 FY2027, it has also added INR 761 crore of further orders across products and projects. The company has attributed this demand to India's growing renewable energy capacity, to rising peak-power requirements and to an increasing need for grid flexibility.
Chairman and Managing Director Venugopalrao Maddisetty has described the BSES award as “another important milestone in the development of our Energy business.” According to him, the award has reinforced the capabilities that the company has built across BESS manufacturing, project execution and long-term asset operations. He also said that the recent wins demonstrated “the breadth of our participation across the BESS value chain,” which extends from the supply of storage systems and lifecycle services to the development and operation of long-term contracted storage assets.
Pace Digitek is an integrated infrastructure and energy solutions company, and it operates across the Energy and Telecom & ICT business segments. In the energy segment, the company undertakes the design, manufacturing, system integration and deployment of BESS. Its subsidiary, Lineage Power, manufactures energy storage systems and related power infrastructure products.
