Advait Battery Ecosystems, an India-based BESS manufacturer and subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions, has signed a master supply agreement with HiTHIUM for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery cells. The agreement was executed on 18 September 2026 and supports cell offtake of up to 1 GWh over the next year. Advait Energy Transitions disclosed it to BSE and NSE on 28 September 2026.
Under the agreement, HiTHIUM will supply its 314 Ah LFP prismatic cells. They will go into Advait's cell-to-container BESS assembly facility at Gangad, Gujarat, which is being developed with an annual capacity of 2.5 GWh. The company says that the facility is scheduled to begin commercial production soon. It will cover cell sourcing, module and pack assembly, container integration and system commissioning for utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and renewable integration applications.
HiTHIUM is a global energy storage manufacturer listed by BloombergNEF as a Tier 1 supplier. It makes LFP battery cells and energy storage systems for utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and residential applications.
The cell deal adds to an earlier collaboration between Advait Battery Ecosystems and Adaptive Engineering. That partnership covers engineering design, energy management system (EMS) architecture, PLC/SCADA and system integration. With HiTHIUM on the cell side, Advait now has partners for the cells, the control systems and the engineering of its containers.
According to the company, the offtake structure of up to 1 GWh over the next year is aligned with the planned ramp-up of its assembly line. Advait's chief operating officer said that a dependable cell supply is central to delivering cost-optimised energy storage systems to customers across India, as the company moves from project-level BESS deployment towards volume manufacturing.
