India-based technology and infrastructure company Pace Digitek, through its material subsidiary Lineage Power, has entered into a long-term battery supply partnership with Guangzhou Rongjie Energy Technology (RJE Tech) of China. The companies signed a Master Supply Agreement (MSA) covering the supply of 3 GWh of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells for Lineage Power's growing battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing operations. The agreement forms part of the company's strategy to strengthen battery sourcing for utility-scale and commercial energy storage projects.
Under the agreement, Rongjie Energy Technology will provide next-generation LFP battery cells together with related accessories. These supplies will support Lineage Power's long-term procurement requirements while helping establish a stable sourcing framework for battery energy storage projects. The partnership also covers commercial and industrial (C&I) applications alongside large utility-scale deployments, enabling the company to serve multiple market segments using a consistent battery platform.
The supply agreement includes Rongjie Energy Technology's newly developed 314 Ah storage-specific prismatic battery cells. According to the companies, these battery cells are designed to provide longer operational cycle life while improving safety performance for stationary energy storage systems. The battery platform is intended to support the increasing demand for high-capacity battery energy storage installations as utilities and commercial customers continue deploying grid-scale storage projects.
Beyond battery procurement, the Master Supply Agreement establishes long-term commercial terms covering pricing, product quality standards, warranties and delivery schedules. It also creates a framework for technical collaboration between the two companies, including product validation, quality assurance processes and continuous product improvement. These provisions are intended to provide greater supply chain visibility while supporting consistent product performance throughout the partnership.
According to Pace Digitek Chairman and Managing Director Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, the agreement strengthens the company's manufacturing ecosystem and enhances its ability to execute utility-scale and C&I battery energy storage projects through improved supply chain planning. The partnership will also utilise Rongjie Energy Technology's manufacturing facilities located in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, supporting efficient logistics and shipments to India as well as other international markets. The agreement reflects the growing collaboration between Indian BESS manufacturers and established global battery cell suppliers as energy storage deployment continues to expand.
