Adani Group, an India-based infrastructure and green energy business group, and Jabil Inc., a U.S.-based engineering and manufacturing solutions company, are planning an AI and data centre infrastructure manufacturing platform in India. The alliance will combine Adani Group’s domestic infrastructure, green energy portfolio and logistics network with Jabil’s engineering, supply chain and manufacturing capabilities.
The platform plans to deploy multi-gigawatt capacity for high-density AI rack architecture and will also cover grey space and white space equipment manufacturing. White space refers to server halls and computing areas, while grey space includes support infrastructure such as power systems, transformers, switchgears, bus bars, power distribution units, cooling systems and backup power areas.
The initiative aims to address a global artificial intelligence infrastructure market opportunity estimated to exceed USD 3 trillion over the next seven years. The companies are currently preparing final operational frameworks and definitive documentation to execute the manufacturing roadmap in India. The proposed facility will produce power distribution units, coolant distribution units and related electrical systems for grid-to-rack energy management in AI-ready data centres.
AI data centres require higher power density, stable electrical systems and thermal management to operate AI computing hardware. The planned manufacturing base is designed to support these power and cooling needs by localizing production of critical infrastructure in India.
Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group, said nations that balance energy production and computing power will influence the next decade. He said the alliance focuses on building India’s AI infrastructure stack by linking green power generation with hardware manufacturing. Mike Dastoor, CEO of Jabil, said the collaboration will combine Jabil’s manufacturing capabilities with Adani’s energy and infrastructure platform to support customers across the AI ecosystem.
Adani Group has committed USD 100 billion to develop 5 GW of green-energy-powered hyperscale data centres by 2035. Jabil recorded USD 29.8 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2025 and has expanded its power management and thermal capabilities through the acquisitions of Hanley Energy Group, a data centre power management company, and Mikros Technologies, a liquid cooling solutions provider.
Adani Enterprises Limited is the flagship company of Adani Group, with businesses across ports, energy solutions, power, green energy, gas and consumer goods. The company’s current key investments include green hydrogen, airport management, data centres, roads, copper and petrochemicals.
The manufacturing platform could strengthen India’s data centre supply chain by localizing production of key electrical and thermal systems. The platform may also help data centre developers access grey space systems, power distribution units and backup power equipment required to support AI-ready facilities with higher energy and reliability needs.
