At the Sicily site, the installation combines 3.2 MW of existing solar capacity with an additional 2 MW of newly installed PV, bringing a total of 5.2 MW onsite generation with a 2.61 MWh battery energy storage system. This configuration is structured to increase onsite renewable use, support operational continuity during outages, and lower overall energy expenditure.
Energy flows across the site are managed using JA Solar’s control technology in combination with a locally supplied Italian Energy Management System. It also incorporates protections suited for coastal conditions and a modular layout that allows future expansion.
