Automotive Energy Supply Corporation (AESC), a global BESS manufacturer, has signed a strategic supply agreement with Prevalon Energy, a joint venture of Mitsubishi Power Americas and Energy Storage Solutions (EES). Under the agreement, AESC will supply battery cells and modules to support more than 10 GWh of utility-scale energy storage deployments over three years.

AESC will provide the battery technology, manufacturing capacity and delivery support. Prevalon Energy will act as the system integrator, utilizing its project delivery experience to deploy the hardware through its platform.

The supplied hardware will be utilized across Prevalon Energy’s HD5™ DC, HD5™ AC and Hybrid Power Stabilizer solutions. These systems combine the battery cells and modules with energy management software, commissioning support and long-term service programs. Prevalon Energy’s role covers system design, engineering, energy management integration and full lifecycle service support.

The integrated systems are designed to manage variable renewable generation, support grid stability and provide flexible power capacity for large electricity users, including AI data centres.

Edward Hou, Senior Vice President at AESC’s parent company Envision Energy, said the scale of the agreement reflects rising global demand for energy storage hardware. He said AESC and Prevalon Energy intend to collaborate on storage deployments to support power infrastructure.

AESC’s energy storage cell portfolio is certified under major safety and compliance frameworks, including UL, IEC and JIS. The company has developed large-capacity battery cells exceeding 300Ah, 500Ah and 700Ah for energy storage applications.

AESC operates manufacturing gigafactories across Japan, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Spain. The company has delivered over 100 GWh of energy storage cells across more than 400 projects in over 20 countries.

Prevalon Energy has deployed more than 6 GWh of utility-scale global battery energy storage across over 35 projects. Its work covers project lifecycles from initial design and engineering through to commissioning and long-term operational support.

The agreement establishes a battery supply pipeline for Prevalon Energy’s storage platform while expanding AESC’s operations as a cell and module supplier for large-scale energy storage projects. Linking AESC’s cell manufacturing capacity with Prevalon Energy’s integrated project delivery supports broader storage deployment as global demand grows for grid flexibility.
