WATTMORE, Inc., a Colorado-based energy intelligence technology company, has entered a non-exclusive strategic software and hardware collaboration agreement with Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. The agreement combines WATTMORE's patented Intellect Operate EMS/PPC/SCADA platform with Eos' Z3 long-duration energy storage systems. Eos has committed to deploy WATTMORE's Intellect Operate Energy Management System and Power Plant Controller on select customer projects and to support integration of the software platform with Eos' DawnOS and Z3 technology.
The Intellect Operate platform is designed, engineered, and operated by WATTMORE's Denver-based team. It combines FEOC- and BABA-compliant hardware with WATTMORE's software as a pre-integrated controls option for Eos customers. Under the planned integration, DawnOS will provide battery-level monitoring, control, and optimization for Z3 systems, while WATTMORE's software will manage system dispatch, energy optimization, and grid interaction.
The companies intend to complete the integration upfront rather than configure the controls separately for each deployment. WATTMORE and Eos said this approach would create a repeatable model and simplify the path from project design to deployment. Eos Chief Commercial Officer Nathan Kroeker said the company can interface with a range of energy management systems and that the WATTMORE integration adds another controls option for customers.
Eos identified utility, data center, microgrid, and other large-scale applications within its project pipeline. The companies have also worked together previously, including on a 3 MW/12 MWh energy storage project for Nebraska utility Lincoln Electric System. That project combined Eos' Z3 technology with WATTMORE's controls platform to support grid reliability and was cited by the companies as establishing the approach and scalability of the integrated configuration.
WATTMORE's business covers software for energy storage, solar systems, microgrids, virtual power plants, and grid and energy management. Eos is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker EOSE and supplies zinc-based long-duration energy storage systems. Its BESS uses Znyth technology, and the company identifies utility-scale, microgrid, commercial, and industrial applications with storage durations of 4 to 16+ hours.
