NVIDIA's DSX Ready program has qualified LG Energy Solution's BESS. This qualification confirms that the BESS meets NVIDIA's reference design requirements for AC energy storage in AI data centers. The system uses modular 2.5 MW / 5.1 MWh battery blocks and supports grid-forming capability, voltage ride-through, and AI load smoothing.

LG Energy Solution is a South Korean battery maker builds lithium-ion cells and packs for electric vehicles, energy storage systems and mobile applications. The company runs manufacturing sites across South Korea, the United States, Europe, and China, with a growing North American footprint dedicated to LFP cell production.
Its BESS has qualified as NVIDIA DSX Ready BESS. The program checks partner hardware against NVIDIA's DSX reference design, giving data center builders a shortlist of components they can trust for AI factory projects. DSX covers computer, networking, power, cooling, facilities, and software as one design framework.
The company's system met the requirements set for AC energy storage. NVIDIA and its partners are trying to solve a timing problem more than technology. AI facilities often remain idle before the grid connection catches up, so a storage system that shortens that gap becomes a selling point on its own. LG Energy Solution says its BESS also handles load smoothing during AI training spikes and rides through voltage disturbances without dropping power.
The qualified product ships in modular blocks rated at 2.5 MW and 5.1 MWh. Builders can add blocks as a site grows rather than sizing the whole system upfront. The AC-coupled design brings grid-forming behavior and fast response built in, and the architecture is built to meet applicable UL and NFPA codes for safety.
Beyond the module itself, LG Energy Solution sells both DC battery containers and PCS-integrated AC containers, giving customers a choice depending on how a site is engineered.
